A discussion on Twitter is very informal compared to a class discussion. Since there is a character limit, you must be able to get your point across quickly, but also be sure to provide enough information for the reader to understand what the tweet means. The conversations on Twitter are also more open. When you tweet, as long as your Twitter is public, anyone can see it. On Blackboard or in class, only your classmates and professor knows your opinion. On Blackboard, you also have a lot more space to explain your opinion in depth without having to write multiple posts.
