There are many similarities and differences between Blogs and Wikis and they serve different functions. The similarities between the two are the idea of using the internet as the medium to connect to users. The differences between those two are that Blogs may or may not rely on others for input and are generally used to give advice on a certain topic such as fashion. Blogs generally are used to express one's idea and generally can be bias or viewed in a certain position. While Wikis are generally used for information. How a wiki is constructed is anyone with the knowledge of the subject may add their input into the topic. This may generally lead to an issue with validity since information written on wiki tend to generally be a collaboration with people adding their input of the subject and anyone can update and edit it.
I think blogs are a great place for collaboration. Since it's generally led by an individual with their own beliefs, it's possible for multiple blog personalities to come together and give advice or reviews on a certain topic. As for Wiki, it should be changed in such that information written by editors and contributors can be validated with references and facts.

Hi Kevin! I like how you added that blogs can also be bias because that is definitely true and a point I didn't think about. I do enjoy reading blogs because they are more personal and there are endless blog possibilities to read on a specific topic. For example, I enjoy seeing fashion and makeup blogs and can spend countless hours reading posts. I also agree that wikis cannot always be trustworthy because anyone can add information in- that is a huge issue that is hard to control.
